Best Debt Management Plan

Fighting Back Scams Part I

Taken from our Fighting Back Senior Scams class, Avoiding Scams Part I will address how to recognize consumer fraud schemes, detect and prevent identity theft, and identify mortgage-related abuses.

Together, we can build a clear plan to best fit your needs.

It can happen at anytime and it can happen to any of us: A job loss. A medical crisis. A natural disaster. Life in general. Any number of unexpected events could potentially lead to mounting debt-and even the most prepared individual is not immune.
Through our Debt Management Plans, (DMP), you could minimize interest rates and payments to creditors, pay down your debt, eliminate fees and put an end to collection calls.
Getting started on your DMP is easy and can be completed in 4 easy steps.
Step 1 –Provide the basic personal information necessary for DMP enrollment
Step 2 –Review your creditors and the benefits of your DMP
Step 3 –Review your current financial situation
Step 4 –Finally, we will take a look at your monthly cash flow
The total process will only take a few minutes. If you have any questions, a Certified Credit Counselor is available to assist you as you go through the process.

National Nonprofit Credit Counseling Organization Expands Offices in Southeast
Compass/CCCS has three offices in Greenville, Spartanburg and Greenwood.  Its CCCS program was started in 1971 and provides budget, credit, and pre-filing bankruptcy counseling, debtor education and debt management plans.
“This is exciting news for both organizations.” said Suzanne Boas, president of CredAbility. “We provide many of the same services and share the same values. Combining the Compass/CCCS program with CredAbility will enable us to serve additional clients in the southeast.”
“We are pleased that our CCCS program will join a national nonprofit credit counseling agency that can provide our clients with additional services,” said Thomas Bannister, president of Compass of Carolina. “The addition of CredAbility’s housing counseling services, its 24/7 convenience and its bilingual staff will benefit many residents of upstate South Carolina.”
